        Open Studios in the Arts District:

        Mergatroid Building and 1000 Parker

Two of the largest artist studio warehouses in the east side Arts District have joined together to open their doors to the public in an open studio event.

On Thursday, February 18, and Friday, February 19, from 10am to 4 pm, the artists in 1000 Parker Street and the Mergatroid Building will showcase their talent and creations. The Mergatroid building will stay open on Saturday from 12 to 5, and until 6 on the weekdays. Walk, bike or take a bus or skytrain to the two buildings near Clark and Venables, , and follow the signs.where you can see paintings, ceramics, furniture, designer clothing, jewellery, photography, sculpture, mixed media, and much more, in working studios. Take the skytrain to VCC and walk, or take the #22 bus north to Venables, and follow the signs. Entry is free, and a percentage of sales will go towards a registered charity.
